PRE/POST CARE

Pre/Post Care for Permanent Makeup:

Before Your Permanent Makeup Procedure:

  1. Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from consuming alcohol, aspirin, and blood-thinning medications for at least 48 hours before your procedure to minimize bleeding and bruising.

  2. Stay Hydrated: Ensure your skin is well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment.

  3. No Sun Exposure: Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least a week before your procedure, as sunburned or tanned skin can be more sensitive.

  4. Consultation: Attend a consultation to discuss your desired look with your technician and address any concerns or questions.

After Your Permanent Makeup Procedure:

  1. Keep it Dry: For the first 7-10 days, avoid water, sweat, and steam to prevent pigment loss. Pat your treated area gently if it gets wet.

  2. Avoid Touching: Refrain from touching, picking, or scratching the treated area to prevent infection and pigment loss.

  3. Skip Makeup: Avoid wearing makeup on the treated area for at least a week or until it has completely healed.

  4. Use Provided Ointment: Apply the recommended aftercare ointment as directed by your technician to aid in the healing process.

  5. Stay out of the Sun: Protect the treated area from direct sunlight and use sunscreen after it has healed to prevent fading.

Pre/Post Care for Eyelash Extensions:

Before Your Eyelash Extension Appointment:

  1. Arrive Makeup-Free: Ensure your eyelashes are clean and free of any makeup, mascara, or oil-based products before your appointment.

  2. Remove Contact Lenses: If you wear contact lenses, switch to glasses on the day of your appointment.

  3. Communicate Preferences: Discuss your desired lash style, length, and curl with your lash technician.

After Your Eyelash Extension Appointment:

  1. Avoid Water and Steam: Keep your new lashes dry for at least 24-48 hours after the application to allow the adhesive to fully bond.

  2. Use Oil-Free Products: Use oil-free makeup removers and cleansers to preserve the longevity of your extensions.

  3. Be Gentle: Avoid rubbing or pulling on your lashes and use a spoolie brush to comb them daily.

  4. Avoid Waterproof Mascara: Refrain from using waterproof mascara, as it can weaken the lash adhesive.

  5. Regular Maintenance: Schedule regular touch-up appointments to maintain the fullness and longevity of your eyelash extensions.

  6. Protect in the Shower: Use a shower cap to protect your lashes while showering.

Always follow the specific instructions provided by your permanent makeup or eyelash extension technician to ensure the best results and minimize the risk of complications.
